CTL’s UP technology is an industry leading catalyst platform in the polyester market. In 2025 we launched our brand new product in the range – CTL Ti955 UP – and we have already converted facilities in Europe and Asia to this new catalyst.
Not only does the catalyst retain the UP advantage which imparts high thermal stability onto the polyester products it is used to produce, this non-acidic product allows a reduction in catalyst spend, while being non-hazardous for both transport and storage. The product can be used to produce polyesters based on both EG and BDO and as an alternative to antimony oxide and titanium butoxide catalysts that are still widely used.
